MANICURE MUSE: Thakoon Resort ‘13

If you like frosting, cake and all things sweet, then you’ll love the Thakoon Resort ‘13 collection. But frill-haters, fear not. The candy-colored palette came by way of sporty chic separates, including boxy tops and voluminous pleated shorts. Also among the assortment, is this mesh and stripe-printed dress paired with this structured blazer. I’ve made a conscious effort to be better about print-mixing this summer and this is the perfect example of how to do it successfully. Love it!

To emulate this look, I used World’s End by Topshop, Too Too Hot by Essie and a Sally Hansen black nail art pen. 

To get these ladyfingers:

1. Paint your full nail blue

2. Using a nail art brush, paint three horizontal red stripes

3. Once dry, draw 3-4 diagonal lines across the nail

4. Repeat going the other direction

5. Top it off with top coat
